Head of Diplomatic Outcomes

Jolyon leads Consulum’s Diplomatic Outcomes programme, supporting governments to deliver outcomes from challenging international situations.

Jolyon has more than thirty years’ experience of delivering international outcomes . He was Acting High Commissioner to Australia, served in Sri Lanka and at the United Nations headquarters in New York, and worked in the Foreign Office in London as Head of Public Diplomacy and as Head of the Arabian Peninsula and Iran Department. He ran the British government’s international digital engagement strategy.

Jolyon is a former guest lecturer in strategic communications at Oxford University, and in 2008 published a seminal book on public diplomacy theory and practice. In 1996 he was made a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour by President Chirac of France.
