As a director in Consulum’s Integrated Government Advisory team, Jared Heffernan works alongside clients to develop and execute strategies which enhance profiles and reputations and deliver meaningful connections with stakeholders.

Jared has more than 15 years of strategic communications experience across the corporate, FMCG, agriculture, tech, health, and government sectors gaining expertise in public, media and stakeholder relations. Throughout his career, Jared has earned the trust and confidence of his clients from executive board members in listed multi-national companies to government ministers in seats of power. His work is guided by a deep respect for nuanced, bespoke communications and the role it plays in enabling organisations to enhance their profile and reputation, tell their stories, and connect with their audience.

Before joining Consulum, Jared managed a large communications and engagement team in the New Zealand health sector while also acting as the Communications Business Partner to the National Chief Medical Officer. In these roles he provided counsel on high-impact local and national communications, branding, government relations, and media relations.
