Darrell is a Partner in Consulum’s Bahrain office. He has extensive experience in financial communications, crisis and issues management, and communications capacity building.

His career has included roles in journalism, corporate communications for large global businesses, and senior roles in communications agencies characterised by the management of rapid company expansion and capacity development.

Darrell has worked extensively in business and with leaders at some of the world’s well-known companies, including CNN, Euromoney, RBS, Barclays, JP Morgan, McKinsey, Morningstar, Willis Towers Watson, SGX, The Monetary Authority of Singapore, Government Investment Corporation of Singapore (GIC) and Malaysia’s Central Bank.

During the global financial crisis, he worked extensively with global banks managing their crisis and recovery programmes, an experience which allowed him to develop an in-depth understanding of the importance of communications integration and how to organise for readiness, responsiveness and agility.

A trained journalist, Darrell spent his early career at CNN, where he helped produce shows in Hong Kong. He later worked for Euromoney Publications before entering corporate communications in the global banking sector.
