ABOUT THE ROLE
Consulum is looking for an executive level candidate to help drive the growth of our Policy practice. Consulum’s policy advisory service offers policy analysis, design and impact measurement to drive reform and deliver positive change. Our innovative policy formulation, policy health check, and detailed cost and feasibility analysis can be applied across various sectors. In addition, Consulum’s unique approach integrates strategy and communications priorities into the policy design process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As an executive level team member at Consulum, you will support the senior policy team in the delivery of innovative policies and programs that respond to our clients’ challenges and aspirations.
You will need to be credible, confident, proactive, intelligent, analytical, and ambitious- you will be taking on a key role in the growth of Consulum’s Policy Practice.
You will work closely with the Head of Policy and the wider Policy Practice team, and with Consulum employees across a number of other practices.
The role will include:
- Supporting the delivery of qualitative and quantitative research and analysis
- Supporting policy ideation, development and execution.
- Supporting on integrating policy development with strategy development, creative ideation, communications projects, and other practice areas.
- Building and nurturing relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Working closely with Consulum employees across a number of other practices in order to ensure the integrity of integrated campaigns for our clients
Required background experience:
- Ideally, 2-4 years’ experience in management consulting for public sector
- Experience in working in teams to deliver complex strategy and policy projects.
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills; outstanding analytical, research and presentation skills.
- Adept at leveraging strategic frameworks such as SWOT and PESTEL analyses to analyze an entity’s internal capabilities and its external environment.
- Ability to break down complex problems into smaller, manageable components and analyze them systematically.
- Proficiency in using the MECE (Mutually Exclusive, Collectively Exhaustive) framework, ensuring that all aspects of a problem are considered without overlap or omission.
- Ability to perform in-depth qualitative analysis by connecting various pieces of information, identifying patterns and forming a clear chain of logic to present a compelling story.
- Strong writing skills—narrative, appealing, succinct. Should be able to convey complex research ideas in a simpler way through your writing
- Ability to follow brand / design guidelines and prepare easy to digest, visually appealing professional PowerPoint presentations and word documents using strong writing and visual storytelling skills
- Highly competent at executing research projects and delivering findings in a clear and actionable format
- Ability to present work with skill and confidence
- Ability to set clear strategic objectives for clients based on findings of analysis
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
