Iain Gibson

Consulum director Iain Gibson
"The era we are living through is one of rapid change, technological innovation and geopolitical instability, meaning the world a decade from now will be very different to what we understand at present. I am passionate about helping governments navigate this terrain, to deliver effectively and future-proof themselves against the challenges we all face.”

Iain helps clients deliver on their governmental, political and regulatory strategies to achieve real, tangible results.

He has a strong track record of supporting ministers and government entities to create policies that rapidly advance delivery of economic and strategic objectives.

As a communications expert with experience in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the challenging UK political environment, Iain offers clients a strategic understanding of how to engage stakeholders and citizens, the ability to anticipate challenges and counsel on managing their reputations effectively.

Iain has almost two decades of experience in communications and government relations, including 7 years in the Middle East. He brings to Consulum an understanding of government institutions, having begun his career with the Scottish Conservative Party, where he worked for six years before first moving to the Middle East in 2011. Prior to joining Consulum, he spent six years at Charlotte Street Partners, a government affairs and strategic communications consultancy based in Edinburgh.
